Biography

Albert Anderson Corbett, Sr., practiced law in Smithfield, NC, from 1929-1990. Born March 19, 1904 to Charles Anderson and Birmah Broadwell Corbett, he was a graduate of Wake Forest University, Wake Forest, NC, and received his law license in 1925.

Corbett served during World War II and was a member of many professional groups and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. He married Nora Lee Harris (1910-1998) on March 31, 1941, and they were the parents of two daughters and one son.

Corbett died November 14, 1996, and was buried in Sunset Memorial Park, Smithfield, NC.
