Biography
William Ransom Long was born in Johnston County on March 17, 1862, to William Stevens (1831-1879) and Lauretta Winnifred Sanders (1842-1866).
William married Keren Ann “Kitty” Sanders on February 25, 1885. She was born in Johnston County on June 14, 1857, to W. H. and Lucinda Sanders.
Mr. Long died January 2, 1921, and was buried in Riverside Cemetery, Johnston County, Smithfield, NC. Mrs. Long died April 25, 1905, and was buried in the Sanders Family Cemetery, Johnston County, NC.
