Biography
George Simeon Wilson was born January 7, 1842, and worked as a retail merchant in the grocery industry in Johnston County, NC.
He married Sarah Elizabeth Powell (February 19, 1842-April 5, 1916), who was the daughter of Robert and Mary Dupree Powell. George and Sarah had the following children: Amanda E. (1864-1883); Helen Ophelia (1875-1964; Viola Almira (1878-1929); Ethel (b. 1879); Ida Ethel (1880-1928).
Mr. Wilson died on May 7, 1914, and he and his wife are buried at Riverside Cemetery, Smithfield, NC.
