Biography
Charles Stevens Powell was born October 9, 1843, to Ashley G. and Elizabeth Stevens Powell. He married Edith Emaline Millard (November 17, 1851- May 12, 1929), and they had the following children: Ashley G. (b.1877); Iona (b. 1878); Charley (b. 1880); Maud (b. 1883); Daniel A. (b 1887); Ben C. (b. 1896); Isaac M. (b. 1891).
Powell died April 29, 1918, and was buried in the Ashley Powell Family Cemetery, Boon Hill Township, Johnston County, NC.
