Biography

James Carroll Bingham was born in June, 1856, to Charles J. (1795-1860) and Cassandra Langdon Bingham (1824-1887).

Bingham married Nancy Isabelle Grantham (November 26, 1867- September 11, 1946) on December 22, 1886. Nancy was born on November 26, 1867, to Michael Kenneth (1832-1887) and Caroline E. Bridgers Grantham (1841-1916). James and Nancy were the the parents of two children: Rena Caroline (1886-1960) and Charles Elbert (1891-1974).

Mr. Bingham died May 19, 1902, and Mrs. Bingham died September 11, 1946. They are buried in Riverside Cemetery, Smithfield, NC.
