Ada Alice Clifton Johnson was born September 18, 1902, in Elevation Township, Johnston County, NC, to Edwin James and Alice Ann Jones Clifton.
Johnson married Brant Allen Johnson (1904-1970) on January 7, 1923. The couple had five children, Ethelea J. Flowers; Faye J. Blackmon; Evelyn Johnson; Shirley J. Brantley; B. A. Johnson, Jr.
Johnson and her husband owned and operated a store at their home prior to the late 1950s, and she was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church, Garner, NC.
Johnson died November 21, 1981, and is buried in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, Garner, NC.
