Biography

William Millard Holt was a retired farmer, a correspondent for the Federal Crop Reporting Service, an active member of several local civic committees, and a devoted member of Princeton Baptist Church.

Holt was born in Princeton, NC, on August 19, 1889, to James Cashus and Sarah Caroline Massey Holt and had one sister named Addie Louise Holt Martin. He married Kizziah Elizabeth Holt (1894-1954) on October 16, 1912, and they had three sons and four daughters. Kizziah is buried in Princeton Cemetery.

After his first wife’s death, he married Mildred Page Luper (1919-1993). She had three daughters and two sons from her first marriage.

Holt died February 19, 1979, and is buried in Princeton Cemetery.
