Biography
Benjamin Rose (1756-1836) and his brother James (1770-1827) came to NCin 1790 from VA and settled in Bentonville Township, which is located in Johnston County.
Benjamin married Lucy Harper Rose on November 12, 1787, in Southhall County, VA, and they had a daughter named Rebecca Rose (1798-1830).
Benjamin, Lucy, James are all buried in the Benjamin Rose Family Cemetery #3, which is located ¼ mile South of Mill Creek Christian Church, 100 yards west of SR 1188 in a field owned by James Massengill. There are no stones or markers in the cemetery.
