Biography

Gideon Woodall was born September 26, 1827, to Jacob and Pennie Woodall. He died July 23, 1883, and was buried at Elevation United Methodist Church (UMC) Cemetery, Elevation Township, Johnston County, NC.

Woodall married Tabitha Dixon, who was born November 28, 1828, to Patrick and Mary Delaney Hill Dixon, on February 16, 1848. Their daughter, Louisa, was born around 1851. Tabitha died June 17, 1879, and was buried at Elevation UMC Cemetery.

Woodall married Lucy H. Dixon on October 16, 1879. She was born April 26, 1841 to Edmond and Susan (Wilsey) Johnson.

Moses H. Johnson was born January 18, 1861, to Corporal Girard T. “Jarret” and Susan Johnson. He married Allena A. Johnson in 1889. Johnson died August 2, 1922, and was buried in Pineview Cemetery, Rocky Mount, NC.

Thomas A. Johnson, born September 2, 1843, was also a son of Corporal Girard T. “Jarret” and Susan Johnson. He married Louisa Woodall on May 26, 1870. Louiza was born September 19, 1850, to Gideon and Tabitha Dixon Woodall, and she died May 15, 1923, Elevation UMC Cemetery.
