Biography
Tom Avera was born around 1805.
Avera married Marry Ennis(?) in 1824, and they had the following children: John Daniel; Isic; Lucian A.; William R.; Thomas T.; Elizabeth; Dicyann; Mary M.; Bashy J.; Anna; Calvin. Five of his sons (John D., Isic, Lucian A., William R.; Thomas T.) fought in the Civil War; however, John Daniel was the only one to have survived.
Avera collapsed and died (around 1892) in his home after taking in fodder all day.
