Biography
The Board of School Trustees of Bentonville Township, Johnston County, NC, met at Bentonville on January 15, 1900. The following officers were elected: A. B. Williams - Permanent Chair; G. H. Tolar - Permanent Secretary.
At this meeting local citizens presented a petition for a new school building. Original school districts were re-established and financial appropriations were determined for each district.
