The Polenta Lodge of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons was chartered on January 11, 1893, and the following officers were appointed: W. G. Parrish – Master; M. J. Langdon – Senior Warden; L. B. Langdon, Jr. - Junior Warden.
The lodge was formed and held in Polenta, Johnston County, NC, and named Polenta Lodge Number 450.
